SkyTab KDS - Failed Connecting to Lighthouse

SkyTab KDS - Failed Connecting to Lighthouse

Failed Connecting to Lighthouse

Approximate Fix Time: 10-15 minutes

Issue: The KDS displays an error (shown here) saying there is no connection to Lighthouse.

Likely Cause: This issue can be caused by an internet outage, network issues which block traffic from Lighthouse or an incorrect configuration of the KDS in the POS.

Check Internet Connection (Requires another device)

Using another device which is connected to your network, attempt to access the internet.

If you are using a mobile phone, you will need to turn off your mobile data and use only the WiFi on your network to attempt.

I am unable to connect to the internet

If your internet is not functioning, your KDS will not be able to communicate with Lighthouse. This does not prevent usage of the KDS, as long as your internal network is still functioning.

I am able to connect to the internet with a different device

If your internet is functioning but you are still receiving this error, you will need to check whether the KDS is able to receive information or if the KDS configuration is set properly in the POS.
