SkyTab KDS Ticket Timer Settings
Description: The ticket timer setting is designed to change the color of the status bar for orders shown on the SkyTab KDS (Kitchen Display System) based on when the order was sent to the display. Use the steps below to configure the Ticket Timers for each kitchen display.
- Tap on the gear icon near the bottom left of the screen to open the Settings screen.

- In the Ticket Timers section, use the pull-down buttons to change the values for Warning Timer Status change after: and Alert Timer Status change after:
Note: Be sure to make certain the checkboxes on the right screen next to each value are checked to ensure the timer rules are enforced.


- Continue to the next set of instructions (if you are configuring the station for the first time) or tap Save (if you are merely adjusting the timer settings).
Clear Ticket Settings: (Pick One)
- Expo Stations
- Prep Stations
Clear Ticket Settings for Expo Stations
- If you are not already in the Settings screen, navigate to the Settings screen by tapping the gear icon on the bottom left of the Kitchen Display screen.
- In the Clear Ticket Settings, use the radio button on the right to select Clear by Order. When enabled, this setting will not clear the order from the display until all the items on the ticket have been completed. Individual items cannot be tapped to clear them; only the entire order can be cleared.

- Continue to the next set of instructions (if you are configuring the station for the first time) or tap Save (if you are merely adjusting the Clear Ticket settings).
Clear Ticket Settings for Prep Stations
- If you are not already in the Settings screen, navigate to the Settings screen by tapping the gear icon on the bottom left of the kitchen display screen.
- In the Clear Ticket Settings, use the radio button to select Clear by Item. When enabled, this setting marks the item as completed (green highlight with strikethrough text) when tapped. The ticket clears automatically when all items on the ticket are marked completed.

- Continue to the next set of instructions (if you are configuring the station for the first time) or tap Save (if you are merely adjusting the Clear Ticket settings).
Bump Station Setting
The Bump Station setting is used when you wish to show the progress of an order by showing when individual items on the order are completed. In most situations, you would want Prep stations only to have this setting enabled to broadcast the status of each item on the ticket to an Expo station. For instance, if you have an order with a salad, fries, and a steak, you would want the displays at your salad prep station and fryer to broadcast to an Expo station that those items have been completed.
- From within the Settings screen on the kitchen display, toggle the setting on for the Bump Station to activate the setting (recommended for Prep stations).

- When you are finished, tap Save.
