Printer Setup for SkyTab Glass
Description: Learn how to set up a WIFI connected receipt printer with an IP address for your SkyTab Glass.
Note: You need manager permissions to complete this setup. If you do not have a WiFi network configured for SkyTab POS, you cannot use this procedure.
SkyTab Glass cannot use USB-only printers. For this task, the receipt printer must be connected to your Shift4 network and have an IP address.
If you have more than one receipt printer, you can choose which printer you would like to use for each Glass device using this procedure.
Printer setup:
- On your SkyTab Glass device, get the Terminal ID by looking in the top right of the screen next to the date.

- Navigate to Manager > Settings > Hardware > Printers.
- Select the receipt printer you plan to use from the list of printers and press Edit Printer Setup.
- Copy down the IP address of the receipt printer. You need this to add printer configuration for your Glass device.

- Press Cancel to close the Edit Printer dialog and remain on the Printers screen.
- Select Add New Printer.

- In the Name field, add a name for the printer. It is recommended you use a unique name that identifies the Glass device, such as "Glass 1 Printer".
- In the IP field, enter the IP address you noted previously.
- For "Printer Model," select your Printer Model.
- For "Printer will be used for," select Printing Receipts.

- For "Assigned Station," select the Terminal ID for your Glass device that you noted at the beginning of this procedure.

- When you are finished, tap Save.
Note: You need to repeat this procedure for each Glass device, changing the Name and Assigned Station fields to match the Glass device. The IP address remains the same for each new Glass printer.
